Oakland has a special place in my heart. If you don't already know, I moved to Oakland from Hong Kong when I was 12, lived there through college. After graduation, I lived in Santa Cruz and San Mateo, and then last year I moved back to Oakland. A lot has changed since then but for the better! One of the more iconic landmark of Oakland is the Fox Theater, I have been to plenty of shows there but have never taken photos there until last weekend! Not sure why I waited so long! I wore these cute denim overalls (hard to find overalls that fit like a dream but these are perfect) with an off-the-shoulder top and these cute embroidered floral sneakers. It was a warm beautiful day so we wandered around uptown, took some photos by the Fox and found a new coffee shop. Good times!

I love a good cargo jacket... but often times I worry that it is too oversized/baggy and perhaps a bit boyish. The trick is to balance the masculine style with a feminine touch when it comes to styling the piece. I absolutely adore this utility jacket by REDValentino. I love that it is cinched at the waist to create a less boxy silhouette and how the patches give it an overall playful vibe. REDValentino recently collaborated with artist Walky Land and created a limited edition capsule collection. Think classic pieces with feminine and whimsical graphics like hearts and floral. Normally I don't gravitate toward sweatshirts or even graphics, but for some reasons I am fond of this particular one I am wearing. The heart print, the embroidered floral, and the subtle touches of sequins against the bold black make a really great contrast. I decided to rock an all black ensemble with black denim, black booties with glittery stars, and a pink suede bag to bring out the girliness of the graphic.

What a treat Timber Cove was! A couple weeks ago, we had a wonderful getaway up in Sonoma Coast (Jenner By The Sea to be specific) with a few other Bay Area influencers. Despite the dreadful weekend traffic, the drive up the coast was so beautiful that Jeremy had a hard time keeping his eyes on the road! We checked into our room upon arrival and I literally gasped the moment I stepped into our ocean view suite. Rustic yet modern aesthetic, mid-century decor, vaulted ceiling with skylight, fireplace, record player and a spacious balcony with an endless ocean view gazing into the sunset. It was everything I could ever dream of!

It was a weekend full of exploring, fine dining, wine tasting, gallery viewing, and making new friends and memories. The highlight of my weekend though had to be sleeping underneath the stars. Having lived in urban cities all my life, I rarely (almost never) get to experience the sky being so black that you can see every little stars. We slept with the curtains open with the moonlight reflecting on the dark ocean water while the stars sparkled in the sky... it was purely magical.
