I am going to end November on a sweet note. Please bear with me as this post might be lengthier and a bit more personal than usual... November is a very special month for me. Chris (my fiancé) and I met during freshman orientation at UC Berkeley on November 1st 12 years ago and we started dating the following Spring. People are always surprised when they find out how long we've known/dated each other. We spent most of our college days together but we were apart for two years when I moved to Hong Kong to be with my sick grandmother; but we've been together for a solid (continuous) 7 years since then, lived together for almost 6 years and engaged for almost 5 years. So yeah, alright, that's like 10+ years total which is basically forever. Of all the different anniversaries we celebrate, November 1st will always hold a special place in my heart.

When A.JAFFE reached out to me about their Maps by A.JAFFE Collection, I knew right away I wanted to remember this special day. Maps by A.JAFFE are silver or gold maps that are engraved with a specific location, indicated by a gorgeous little diamond, and then anything you want can be engraved on the back. These pendants also come in different shapes (rectangle, circle and heart) and can be worn as a necklace or bracelet. It was only appropriate that I chose a heart pendant with a map of UC Berkeley (the diamond marks the steps of VLSB where we actually met) with the date engraved on the back.

This necklace has easily become my most sentimental piece of jewelry, aside from my engagement ring of course. Soon, a wedding ring will be added to the mix as we just started looking at wedding bands this past weekend!

Oh my goodness, tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I am so ready for a few days off of work and indulge myself in more food than I can ever eat! This week, I started holiday-decorating for my apartment and I think that somehow also translated onto my outfit and this blog post! I mean, I am definitely feeling the holiday spirit with this ultra cozy look... trench coat, plaid scarf, red flats and handbag embellished with jewels! All in front of a red door too! On a different note, a couple of friends and I were chatting about our styles today and apparently we concluded that my style is "Preppy New York". I never thought of myself that way but the more I think about it the more I see it! Perhaps all those years watching Gossip Girl really got to me...

It's that time of the year when I wear a sweater every day of the week... cable knit, ribbed knit, bouclé, etc. My current favorite, however, is fair isle. There is something quite cozy and extra magical about it. When I slip one on, I just imagine myself sitting by a fireplace in a cabin somewhere out in the snow sipping a cup of hot apple cider. Wow, I wish I were actually doing that right now. I absolutely adore this Puttin' On the Ritz Sweater by Bailey44. Not only is the fair isle pattern beautiful, it is also embellished by jewels, adding a touch of sparkle to this holiday season! I love hiking, it is my favorite outdoor activity in Fall. However, hiking to me is probably very different than hiking to you. When I say hiking, I really mean walking on a mostly flat surface, for less than 5 miles, in flats. That's right, that's how I hike... in a pair of Levi's, a light pink knit top, and a plaid scarf. I love this scarf! I have never seen a plaid one as feminine as this, the pink and blue combo is amazing! Don't you think?

November is half way over, Thanksgiving is next week (omg is it really?) and the holiday season is upon us! I am so excited to start filling this blog and socials with holiday related content as I surround myself with everything jolly and cozy! First up is a holiday campaign I recently did with ECCO! When the brand approached me with this project and presented to me the different products, I knew right away that the Touch 75 Ankle Booties and the Delight Slim Clutch were "the ones". Because when it comes to the holidays, you can never go wrong with black accessories! The booties and clutch bag are so classic and timeless, not only do they go with any outfits, they are so versatile you can wear them all year round!
