Tahoe Weekend

It's been quite a while since we've gone out of town so last weekend we decided to head to Tahoe! The weather was glorious, minus the high wind on our first day which made our gondola ride up to Heavenly a bit more exciting that we anticipated. The view from above was worth every sway, not to mention we even saw a black bear cub! We stayed at The Ridge Resort which kindly hosted us for two nights. It is the only on-mountain resort in Tahoe so it is no surprise that the sunset from there was breathtaking and the air was especially crisp! Another highlight of my trip was the chai tea latte from Driftwood Cafe. I am a chai latte enthusiast and I must say that the one at Driftwood was the best I've ever had. It was so good that I went back for another cup right before we left! Tahoe was a much needed getaway and I can't wait for another mini adventure elsewhere next!
