When it comes to personal style, I have gone through many different phases. Haven't we all? This past weekend I had the chance to shoot with Marie Claire for an upcoming feature and I wanted to create a look that best fits my style today. Something that screams me, something that I am proud to be associated with, and this is what I came up with... Neutral, but not head to toe in black. Never plain, I love to mix prints. Colors will always be there, but usually just a pop of it. In conclusion, I like to think of today's me as a chic gal with a bit of class and a bit of sass.

Finding garment that fits has always been a challenge for me since I am quite petite. It is especially difficult for things to have the right length, dresses that are supposed to be above the knees always hit my knees and pants with an ankle length is regular to me. I can resort to shopping at Asian sites since their clothes are made for the small Asian frame but those are usually of cheaper quality. Luckily, PIOL exists! You can now create your perfect go-to dress from a great of selection of fabric, silhouette and details. Mine is a sleeveless draped empire dress with a midi length and a high tie neck in lovely tiny dots. I love how it can look modern but also vintage depending how you style it. Here I am a little bit of both with my wide brim fedora hat, crossbody bag, and my leather and spotted haircalf flats.
Customized dress c/o PIOL.
Crossbody bag c/o Old Navy.
Ziggy gold cuff by Vanessa Mooney c/o RocksBox.
Double face watch from Urban Outfitters.

And just like that summer has come to an end... Whether you are going back to school or heading back to work, it's time to pull yourself together and look more professional. I have teamed up with Old Navy and styled a few of their pieces to create a business casual look that will sure to leave a lasting impression. I am wearing a striped top, polka dots chiffon skirt, and a classic blazer. I complete the look with a bag I customized and designed myself (you can read about that here). Looking professional doesn't mean looking boring, you can have some fun by mixing prints and playing with colors. So, put those sandals away and grab a blazer!

Whether you are going on a roadtrip for the weekend or just hopping over to the next town for a staycation, Forever 21 has all the essential things you need for your trip. Skin care is important, everyone knows that. But how many actually pay attention to it? I know I didn't until recent years and my lack of water drinking habit does not help either (okay mom, you were right). I was also using cheap drug store products for as long as I can remember, they do the job (kind of) but my complexion remains dull and uneven. I recently started using SK-II and wow, just wow! My skin feels great! Hydrated but not greasy, firm but not tight. My face seems to be brighter and overall I just look less tired! Perhaps now I won't be afraid to go bare face in public anymore! Thanks SK-II!

I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it. I guess love at first sight does exist!!! Chambray or denim in general is such a unisex style but I love how the crochet embroidery here makes the piece rather feminine. I remember the day I wore it I kept staring down at the details, it's just too pretty! I paired it with a vintage crochet purse (I sure love to match sometimes, okay maybe all the time), these lovely sandals with silver beads and giant flowers on top, and a very special ring. This floral carved mother of pearl oval ring by Stephen Dweck is absolutely beautiful and intricate. Photos don't do it justice as it was difficult to capture the details. I first heard of Stephen Dweck back when Gossip Girl was airing (Blair and Serena wore tons of Stephen Dweck jewelry). Did I also mention Beyoncé and Rihanna have also worn Stephen Dweck? And now I get to collaborate with such an reputable brand... what an honor! I also really appreciate how Stephen himself even wrote me a nice personal note along with the ring too! Anyways, enjoy the weekend everyone!
