Carmel Getaway

Last week my fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley for a mini getaway. This resort nestled in the vineyards just 15 minutes inland from the coast was absolutely beautiful and relaxing! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and then promptly checked into our spacious room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace, two person soaking tub, and an oversized patio overlooking the croquet court and bocce lawn. We spent most of our time wandering around the rose garden (where I photographed the outfit in my last post) and hanging out at the swimming pool as well as the warming pool. Besides the lovely surroundings, the food was fantastic as well! We had both dinner and breakfast at Wickets Bistro and everything was delicious! Its signature portobello mushroom soup with truffle oil and a dash of goat cheese was especially tasty and flavorful! Just writing about it makes me want some right now! Anyways, thank you Bernardus Lodge for treating us to such an amazing vacation, we can't wait to come back someday!
