Meet Daphne, the dress! I got this dress by Dahlia awhile ago but held out until Thanksgiving Day to wear it! Trust me, it was tough to wait so long but it was just so perfect for the occasion. It has the sweetest brocade print with the loveliest fit and flare shape in a material that is thick but not heavy. I layered a chiffon blouse with double collar underneath to give it a more tailored look and finished with matching shoes and bag. I don't know what it is but Dahlia dresses always fit me like a dream. I own a few and I have another one coming in the mail very soon which I can't wait to show you! Lastly, in case you are wondering, these photos were taken at the Morcom Rose Garden in Oakland. My family lives about 5 minutes from there and I took these photos right before I feasted on turkey and yams! If you are ever in the area, this garden is worth checking out! It's huge and beautiful, it's a hidden gem!

Aw your new dress is lovely! I often hold out on wearing new dresses for special occasions too. It's always worth it! This dress is perfect with the blouse layered underneath and I adore the color of your shoes too. Such a perfect outfit for Thanksgiving and a perfect outfit all around!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gardens and super gorgeous dress! Brocade is definitely on my radar this season. I love that you paired it with that sweet collared blouse and bow shoes. It's a great Thanksgiving look. I hope you ate lots of yummy food!
