Having read so many blogs and seen so many different styles, I sometimes wonder if my personal style lack focus. Many bloggers out there have a very specific look and therefore draw a very specific audience. I, on the other hand, have an eclectic style. Sometimes I wear ultra feminine pieces with cute dressy shoes and a dainty little purse while wearing pink lipstick (like this post), other times I go for an edgier look in two tone fur coat with leather leggings and some chunky Jeffrey Campbells while rocking some dark plum color on my lips. Then, on lazier days, I am layering up in cozy knits and kicking around in some boots. So, you see, I wear many very different kind of things. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate the fact that I can actually pull off such different looks. Some people are stuck with one look, but I can just wear whatever I want and still look decent! What are your thoughts?

Although I do not agree that your style lacks focus, I think your style is your own and indefinable. I love the way you dress!
ReplyDeleteLovely vintage dress :)
ReplyDeleteI think this sometimes to! I always wonder how they manage to keep up such a specific look and whether I should dress with one style in mind all of the time to? ...I worry my style looks 'messy'!
ReplyDeleteI guess you're right though, it's good to be able to pull off so many different looks^_^

I feel the same way about myself! But I agree with Jackie, that even though we are eclectic it's still our own sense and personal view of fashion - our own style. I say don't worry about it and wear what you want when you want! I love that vintage dress. The collar is amazing.
ReplyDeletethat dress is SO sweet! i think you have a look.. you always wear special one of a kind pieces :)

Steffys Pros and Cons
I love your sense of style! I think having an eclectic style is much more interesting than having a strict style. Sometimes I feel the way you do about my own style, but then I remind myself that the important thing is that I feel like myself in all my clothes. Clothing to me is a physical manifestation of what is going on inside my brain, so to only have one type of clothes seems absurd. My brain has more dimensions than one! And I'm completely certain that yours does too ;)
